I know that having bouts of VVS are not typically serious health problems -- it is the incidents which may occur as a result of the VVS which can be serious. Passing out & falling backwards into the tub, hitting & cutting my head on the tub faucet; falling backwards down a staircase when blacking out; blacking out while walking through the drugstore. The frequency of the blackouts increased significantly to the point that the sound of swarming bees and the blackin-outs occurred by simply turning my eyes to the right (NOT turning my head).

Since then 2 things have helped. 1) I start off my day with 32 oz. of water and 2) I suffer from depression and this past year my SSI was doubled. This has taken the edge off the worst of the depression and seems to have virtually eliminated the ongoing black-outs & terrible noise of the VV episodes.
