INTRODUCTION:

The balance of population in an ecosystem is a function of the population ratio of its producers, primary and secondary consumers.

DISCUSSION:

· What will be the effect of too many primary consumers on producers if the reproductive capacity of the primary consumers is fully enhanced?

· Is it possible to have a balance in an ecosystem population?

MAIN FOCUS:

  • Which is more important out of the following;
    1. Initial population.
    2. Gain from food.
    3. Reproduction rate.

  • Set up a model for a balanced ecosystem.

PROCEDURE:

Wolf Sheep Predation.

· Click on file.

· Click on Models Library.

· Click on Biology.

· Click on Wolf Sheep Predation.

· Adjust the settings as you desire.

· Click Setup and Go.

· Repeat the above procedure until you get the desired effect.
