Artist profile
Art Fanega is a Philadelphia-born painter and electronic music DJ. He graduated from Tyler School of Art in the late 90’s where he discovered his artistic medium of choice in painting, “remixing” classic pieces such as Van Gogh’s “Potato Eaters” and Michelangelo’s “The Last Supper” by replacing figures with shapes and relying on intelligent color choices, creating a whole new geometric landscape. His long time interest with electronic music has played a big influence in his artwork, which is also represented through his 17+ years of DJing under the alias, “Art Cuebik”.
