PYRENEES

These bounding mountains along Franco-Spanish border
Looping the gateway to hidden hamlets
Blended in my mind
Done times spent abed
Reading Hemingway, Dos Passos, Sartre
Sating my psyche
Puerile me, disciple
Each they, tutor

I harbored then in uteris
The daughter I highway ravines and dales with now
The ridges we backbone
The pikes we rove

Burgandied approaches abundant with pruned vinyards
Bustling markets heaped in sundry cheese
Valleys reconfigured by effulgent rivers
Visual delights fleshing out past contemplations

Indeed life settles spherically
Inceptions originate completions
Enveloped together
My shawled offspring provides me snug womb

I relinquish and set down
Returning to beginnings
