Since day one I've been meaning to post the link to this speech because he discusses a number of things brought up in class, and he does so in that entertaining, looking-in-from-the-outside Douglas Adams way. Enjoy!

That speech is really excellent! If you liked this, I would recommend The Salmon of Doubt; it is a book containing this speech and many related (and unrelated) essays by Douglas Adams.
